FOR SELLERS

Seller Guide

Everything you need to know to run a successful garage sale on the platform — from posting your first listing to handing items over and getting paid in cash.

1

Create your sale

Tap the + button at the bottom of the app (or Post a Sale on desktop). A sale is the umbrella container for everything you're selling — typically a single garage sale event.

  • Title & description — be specific (e.g. "Saturday backyard sale — kids' toys, kitchenware, tools").
  • Address — pin your house on the map. Buyers see an approximate radius until they place an order.
  • Dates & hours — when people can actually come by. The sale appears as "live" during this window.

Once published you can edit or add items at any time from My Sales.

2

Add items & choose a listing type

Open your sale and add items one by one. Good photos & honest descriptions sell — most buyers decide in 5 seconds.

Three listing types:

  • Fixed price — set a number, first interested buyer can confirm.
  • Auction — set a starting bid and end time, highest bidder wins.
  • Donation — give the item to a verified NGO partner instead of selling.

All listings are free. No commissions, no listing fees, no payment processing — money changes hands in person.

3

Manage interested buyers

When a buyer taps I'm interested on your item, they show up in the Interested buyers section on the item page (also reachable from My items & buyer requests).

  • You can chat or call them from their interest card.
  • Tap Confirm on the buyer you want to sell to. The others are automatically queued, in order — so if your first buyer drops out, you can confirm the next one.
  • The Confirm button disappears for the rest of the queue once one buyer is confirmed.
4

Send pickup details

After confirming a buyer, tap Send pickup details. A form pre-fills with your name, email, phone and address — review and edit anything that should be different for this buyer, then send.

  • The buyer is notified by email and in-app.
  • An order is created — visible to both of you under My Orders → Selling.
  • You can still chat to coordinate timing.
5

Mark paid & sold

Once the buyer comes by, inspects the item and pays cash, tap Mark Paid & Sold on the item page. This:

  • Marks the order paid (on pickup) and completed.
  • Marks the item sold.
  • Notifies any remaining queued buyers that the item is no longer available.
  • Unlocks the rating step for both sides.
6

Ratings & reviews

After a completed sale, both parties get a chance to rate each other (1–5 stars) and leave a short review. Reviews help build a trustworthy neighborhood marketplace.

  • Be honest — descriptions accurate? Buyer showed up on time?
  • Top sellers (consistently 4.5★+) get a badge that's visible to buyers.
7

Donate unsold items

At the end of your sale, anything you haven't sold can be donated to a verified NGO partner in a single tap — instead of going to landfill.

  • Set the listing type to Donation and pick an NGO from the list.
  • The NGO sees it on their dashboard and arranges pickup.
  • You get a thank-you note when the item is claimed.
8

Tips & safety

  • Daylight pickups are safest — most sales happen in the front yard or driveway.
  • Cash only. We don't process online payments. If a "buyer" asks to send extra money or pay by transfer, it's almost certainly a scam — report them.
  • Don't share full address publicly. Your pin is approximate; only confirmed buyers see the full address via the pickup form.
  • Trust your gut. If something feels off, decline the interest or report the buyer. You're never obligated to sell.
  • Use the in-app chat for the paper trail. If anything goes wrong our team can review the messages.
